Pathfinder Description:
We are looking for an experienced aesthetician that ensures that guests receive unparalleled service in a safe environment. The successful candidate will be educated and have experience in performing aesthetic services including facials, body wraps, manicures, pedicures and waxing. Cosmetic services such as tinting and makeup application are also performed.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Perform aesthetic services listed above on guests in a safe and sanitized environment.
- Perform all cosmetic services listed above on guests using safe and professional techniques.
- Perform relaxation massages in a safe, hygienic manner when needed.
- Be time sensitive based on service requirements.
- Become familiarized with guest's medical history before commencing service to ensure that guest receives appropriate treatment.
- Prepare and clean treatment room for services.
- Assist with treatment room setup for other aestheticians when not in service.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of preparation areas.
- Clean/sanitize equipment and implements to ensure spa is consistent with health standards.
- Report dysfunctional equipment and implements to the Spa Administrator.
- Courteously interact with guests and fellow colleagues.
- Recommend/up-sell retail products available through educating guest on the product's benefits.
- Maintain supplies needed in treatment rooms and inform the Spa Administrator when supplies reach par stock level.
- Fulfill role of receptionist when scheduled; not limited to: book appointments, collect payment, coordinate daily schedule.
- Remain familiar with current trends in the aesthetic industry.
- Attend weekly/monthly departmental and/or hotel communication meetings.
- Ensure that guests and colleagues follow health and safety procedures.
- Ensure that colleagues follow the environmental standards.
- Ensure all colleagues follow the Spa standards as set out in the operational manual.
- Attend scheduled training seminars.
- Participate in the service-training schedule for new aestheticians.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Aesthetics.
- New Brunswick aesthetic certification through the Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick.
- First Aid/CPR certified.
- Computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
